General

For anyone hearing about FIIFO for the first time

The basics of what FIIFO is, how it's structured, and what it isn't.

FIIFO is a platform that lets ordinary people co-own real Indian films through legally structured Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), starting with Malayalam cinema. Each film has its own dedicated SPV — participants hold real shares, not a vague pool of money.

For creators

If you're a producer or director thinking about raising through FIIFO

Funding caps, creative control, eligibility, and milestone releases.

Up to 45% of your production budget, from up to 195 participants, per SPV. The 45% cap is a structural ceiling — it exists so no single raise can outweigh your own stake or creative decision-making on the film.

For participants

If you're thinking about joining a film's SPV

Ownership, risk, fund safety, and how projects are vetted.

Real, dematerialized shares in that specific film's SPV. It isn't a side letter, a WhatsApp confirmation, or a pooled fund unit.
